Introduction

As globalization has reached the education sector too, Japan is nowadays becoming a popular study destination for young people. They have always been among world leaders in literacy. More than 150,000 international students are pursuing their education in Japan. The number one reason is high quality education that Japanese universities and colleges are offering. This can be supplemented by the fact that a high number of Nobel Prizes has been awarded to Japanese people (highest in Asia and second highest in World since 2000). As per OECD, Japan’s 10 universities are among the top 200 in the world.

Education In Japan

Education is quite affordable in Japan as compared to other developed nations.

Tuition fee is estimated to be around 6,000 per year which is half or a third of the cost of equivalent study in the US or UK.

Moreover, the tuition fee exemption program for international students helps a lot to reduce the education costs in Japan. In addition, there are many scholarship opportunities in place from government, private universities, foundations and corporations. Some of them are also directed towards specific nationalities, minorities and those with high level Japanese proficiency. Language may seem to hinder the choice for the students but it’s not as difficult as it seems to be. Many students become fluent within a year. Each year thousands of international students graduate from Japanese English schools mastering the language.

Being a culturally rich and technologically advanced country, Japan’s market offers great job opportunities. Japan’s market is extremely fluid and demand for language skilled, international; oriented people is always strong. As a matter of fact, 50% of Japanese companies are always eager to find foreign graduates from Japanese schools. On top of that, Japanese companies have branches all over the world, your experience with Japanese companies will make you stand out.

Culturally rich country Japan, is third in the economy and the safest developed country. People residing in Japan are very welcoming, respectful and polite. They have got reliable public transportation and a good health insurance system in place to maintain the health of individuals.
